About

Sarah Beasley is a slow fashion knitwear designer known for her distinctive, rebellious take on hand-knitting. She champions creativity and conscious fashion through content creation, brand partnerships, and her sustainable label, SULK Knitwear. With a commitment to reshaping how fashion is made and worn, Sarah continues to inspire a new generation of makers to take pride in the process, embrace individuality, and find joy in the slow art of handknitting.

Entirely self-taught during the pandemic, Sarah built SULK from the ground up, growing a loyal Instagram following of 63K through emotionally resonant content and strong visual storytelling. A former freelance photographer, she now shoots all creative for the brand.

Her designs have been featured in Vogue+, Harper's Bazaar, The Luxury Telegraph, and worn by Emily Ratajkowski, Rita Ora, Kesha, and Billie Piper. SULK has also been styled on cult bands like Fontaines D.C. and Wolf Alice.
Sarah’s work extends into costume design, most recently creating knitwear for Lena Dunham’s upcoming TV series Too Much. She also leads community-driven knit clubs at venues including Tate Britain, London Craft Week, and KOKO.

Each SULK piece is handmade over 10–40 hours, championing a slower, more intentional way of dressing. Sarah frequently repurposes vintage garments and works with deadstock or scrap yarns, using freeform methods over traditional patterns — meaning no two pieces are ever the same.
