ABOUT:
Please note this purchase is for a digital file for a knitting pattern to create your own SULK piece and not a physical garment.
This easy, fun to make pattern creates a lightweight, open-knit tank with airy armholes, which are easily adjustable to provide the perfect coverage for all body types. Beginner-friendly and quick, no shaping is required. Also, budget friendly - this pattern uses larger needles, making your yarn go further. You can knit this design time and time again.
It’s made up of two main sections - the upper and lower- which are joined together by SULK style "piercing" O-rings. This, along with the use of a loose gauge and thinner yarn than normally recommended for the needle size, achieves a punk- inspired look.
You may wish to make a lightweight, breathable Summer tank, or use wool for a Winter friendly layering piece. The sample piece in the main photo has been knitted with Noro “Silk Garden” - an Aran weight self-striping yarn made from wool, silk and mohair, but cotton may make a more breathable option for hotter months.
The design is very simple and adaptable, allowing for length adjustments to suit your personal preference. For more detailed information, check the notes section below. Helpful links can also be found on the last page of the pattern.
